A while ago someone posted a software recommendation that allowed them to control one computer from many different rooms. It was kind of like log me in or go to my pc BUT worked across the LAN and not the web. I am considering doing this to avoid signing in and out in every room AND maintaining AC in every room.
The original post mentioned it was as simple as one click in the toolbar and you were up and running... anybody do this or know of the software?
Thanks.. AJ, FP in Ohio

It sounds to me like a VNC software. TightVNC is a free download and there are several other VNC programs. I don't think it would really help as much as you are thinking though. You should be able to log in to every room simultaneously and just lock the Windows screen when not in one of them with the keystroke combination "Windows+L".

Thanks Paul and good point.
My AC over wifi is a bit slow and curious to see if a VNC to a LAN desktop would be any better.

If you are just trying to take over another machine and you have XP Pro, just use Remote Desktop. Type in the IP address or the name of the computer.

Haha, thanks Bert. Why do I miss the obvious so often?
