Oh wow Vicki

I wonder if they prorated the bill (gulp) to even things out with the end of year accounting. Although we get charged from the date we signed on, so I could be way off base there. We elected not to use the eprescribe because of the lack of participating pharmacies here and it was going to just be a huge hassle and cost to us to get interfaces with them all. Seeing this I'm glad we still haven't done it!

Good luck and I hope your Holiday is happy in spite of the bill.

Vicki,

I’m truly sorry you feel so upset with Amazing Charts and the need to berate me. It was certainly not my intention to ruin your holiday season, as I suspect it was not yours to ruin mine.

In any case, I apologize if there was some confusion with the automatic charge, but my analysis of your account shows that the initial provider New Crop charges went through on 12/23/2008 for $420. A second provider charge was to go through in February for $520 which was for New Crop plus a year of maintenance for the second provider. All our annual charges rebill automatically, the goal of which is solely to benefit my users and allow them a way to protect their initial charge when our prices increase.

While I concur that the New Crop screens are mediocre and not user-friendly, my team and I have been working non-stop to make a product that meets the needs of our clients, is stable with minimal bugs, and is affordable. Clearly our attempts have not satisfied you. I have turned off all automatic rebilling of your credit cards and have immediately refunded back the following charges:

$420 charged on 12/23/09 for the annual rebilling of New Crop eRX
$720 charged on 2/27/09 for the second provider license and that provider’s New Crop eRX
$187.50 prorated amount for the remainder of this year for maintenance/offsite backup for provider #1 that was to be automatically rebilled on 3/34/10.

I have left on 1 provider license so you still can access and use Amazing Charts while you find an EHR that is able to meet your needs. I would anticipate that you find a system no later than 90 days from today. Again, I am sorry we are not able to provide a solution that meets your requirements.

Jon

Jon, I believe the EHR was not the issue, but rather the way in which the billing occurred and the lack of a valid email to reply to. Also, I would have thought that for charges of this magnitude would generate an email of the up and coming charge so that users would be informed and have time to ask questions.

I am very surprised to see such a drastic reaction.

Hi Everyone:

Earlier I posted here a bill I had received from Amazing Charts. I see now where I probably should not have posted it online for everyone to see, but in the beginning I was just frustrated, It turns out that I had the dates wrong and spoke out of line.

Jon, understandably took offense to my post, which I have assured him privately was not meant to be the case. Given that Jon thought I was attacking him and AC on the boards, he made his post. While I don't agree with everything, I can understand why he would be so angry.

I am currently communicating with Jon, and I hope to get this straightened out.

I do want to say that I have always been an ardent supporter of Amazing Charts as those who know me realize this. I think Jon has made a wonderful program, without which, my practice would not be as successful. I apologize if my post was taken the wrong way by anyone or if it caused anyone any ill will.

Here's hoping everyone has a Happy Holiday. God Bless.
Vicki
