Over the past year we'll all read about how Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 has been rigged by its maker, Nuance, to turn itself off if it notices the use DNS Standard/Preferred with any one of several of the more well-known EMRs, s.a. AC. The idea is to pick physician pockets deeper by forcing physicians to purchase their more expensive offering, DNS Medical.
If you have either purchased Dragon 10 Preferred only discover that it was EMR blocked, or if you would have bought Standard/Preferred but were forced to purchase Medical because of the blocking would call Dr. Reddy Biggs at (806) 677-2022. Dr. Biggs over at emrupdate has retained a lawyer to represent all physicians that have been affected by this process.
