Jon,
I am very proud of you and AC!! I am also proud of this User's Board and people like Bert because I really think it has contributed to the satisfaction of many, many users.

Yes!!! A big THANK YOU and Congratulations to Jon and everyone on the Amazing Charts team. I started my own solo family practice in July and AC is part of what made it possible. Your software, philosophy, value and support are all terrific. Best wishes for your continued success. Art Treiman, MD Treiman Family Medicine, LLC New Jersey

Ditto -- we also started in July and AC has worked extremely well for us.
It's affordable. No hidden costs. The support has been excellent - our chat questions have always been answered asap. And both our providers like AC way better than the other emr's they have occasion to use.
We still need to find a practice management -- and I'm starting to agree that I'd like to see another company take on this project so as to keep AC's cost down and the program lean and usable.
But holy smokes -- an ehr that you don't need to be trained to use? I've had more trouble teaching people how to print to fax and right click with a tablet pen than using AC! I do wish the wiki was a little better - there are a lot of shortcuts and neato things that we didn't find out for months. But we really love AC

Our office AC experience is as positive as that described in the AAFP survey.
I too would like to see other companies tie into AC tables directly for the practice mgmt functionality. PM module competition would be great. Heck I'd even try to program something if there was a software developers kit (SDK) for AC that exposed the SQL tables in a supported fashion. Until AC offers that tie in, it would be too great a risk for other companies to develop complementary PM software.

Very impressive results. 85% of the base of users is 1-2 physician practices. This means they have to be involved. One of the points made by the authors was that the more involved the docs were in choosing the EMR the more satisfied they were. There were 109 respondents, a high level compared with others.
It will be interesting how V5 will change the low areas of disease management, health maintenance, and e-prescribing. I know some of them are covered. It's an AMAZING program.

Ah, advertising...this is from the Praxis website: "Praxis EMR Ranked Number One By Family Physicians" "Praxis EMR ranks number one in the 2008 EHR Report published by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) in the Journal of Family Practice Management. The five categories that were assessed were functionality, ease of use and flexibility, service and support, and return on investment. Results show that Praxis EMR is the top EMR overall. Praxis EMR Rankings: · Number One in Overall Satisfaction · Number One in Ease of Use and Flexibility · Number One in Service and Support · Number One in Return on Investment"
I am trying to figure out how they can make these claims. The surveyors clearly ranked more than five categories. The study states they are not trying to identify a "#1". On the other hand, AC is #1 in "I am highly satisfied with my system" which seems closest to "overall satisfaction", and #1 in "worth the expense" which seems to correlate to "return on investment"........
