Does anyone know the exceptions?

Employee count less than x?

Most employers would have to provide coverage or pay a tax penalty of up to 8 percent of their payroll.

Joseph- 8% is not all that bad. Say an employee makes $30000.00- that comes down to $2400 a year. My $30000 medical assistant employee currently costs me $9600 per year in health insurance.

When Obamacare becomes reality, I'll gladly pay the 8% and send her off to get socialized public healthcare. She can't complain, as she voted for Obama... This is what I tell her:

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYERS: Employers must provide insurance to their employees or pay a penalty of 8 percent of payroll. Companies with payrolls under $500,000 annually are exempt -- a change from the original $250,000 level to accommodate concerns of moderate Democrats -- and the penalty is phased in for companies with payrolls between $500,000 and $750,000.

Small businesses -- those with 10 or fewer workers -- get tax credits to help them provide coverage.
