If I print a Rx for 30 M & Ms, and patient needs a mail in for 90, and next month has a craving for more. Is there anyway to see the number of tablets ordered for previous refills?

Is that a word problem? I was never very good at those. smile

J, it may seem like a follow you around and make smart [censored] comments. But, I really don't. LOL. I understand your question, and it's come up before. I just thought the way you wrote it was funny. smile

The best way is to place your cursor in the plan box before selecting the Prescription button. That way any prescriptions you write are copied into the plan box and documented in your note. If the patient is not at a visit and needs a refill, attach the patients chart to a new message before selecting the Prescription button. Then the prescription is documented in a message that you can save to the chart. So far there is no historical record of prescriptions other than the dates you see in the prescription window.

One other option is to inactivate the originial scrip - it has a box that you put in why, eg raised qty to 60, etc. Then write a new scrip - granted the only way you can look through all this is to look in inactive meds.

Just a thought.
