Odd question. I would like to know if there is any way to have a password protected chart for interoffice confidentiality purposes. For example if you saw a family member of an employee and that patient does not want the family member to have access. Thoughts? Suggestions???

I take it you mean, "and that family member doesn't want the employee to have access."
I don't know of anyway to do it, but even if you could, it is unlikely that the employee will not get information even if it is overheard.
Personally, I would tell the family member that my staff has a right to patient data on a "need to know" basis, and it is very likely the family member's health information would at times be seen by the employee.
Based on this, the family member would be better served going to a different doctor.

I agree but when you are on an island and the only care, there are times this is not possible. Actually according to AC V5 will have a confidential field for the provider. Doesnt help today but will for the future.

Yep one road in and out that ofter litteraly goes out with a storm and not just with hurricanes. My husbands office works as a mini ER when needed even administering thrombolytics. It is a bit of a different world! The nearest walmart is almost an hour and half from my house
