I wish there was a way that I didn't have to review every single document that is imported. Granted there is a non medical folder where you can put documents that don't need physician review. But it's really not appropriate that I have to review an order that I already physically signed off on. And, of course, an order can't be put in the non medical folder. As soon as you move something from the non medical folder it goes back on your sign off list. I could have my back desk employee who scans stuff sign off on these for me, but I think that is not fair to her and it makes a simple job complicated.

Our lab had the same issue. When scanning things that DO NOT need to be signed off again they scan the document in while logged into an account with physician privileges. When it DOES need to be signed off by the doctor, they scan it in while logged in as a lower privilege user. If the doctor account scans it in, no sign off is required. It actually saves them a step for every scan, but they have to log on and off when switching.
