Currently, without escripts, it would be a GREAT convenience to be able to FAX scripts to pharmacy directly from AC. I can do this by selecting "preview prescriptions" ("print" only allows the default printer) and choosing "FAX" from the choice of printers under print-button on the preview.
However, I am not sure how to get a signature on the prescription. Without a signature, that whole value is lost. These are scripts called in out side of an encounter.

Peter,
The signature that you add in the admin section under users is entered onto the prescription.
Also, where we are located, we fax to over 50 pharmacies and ALL of them take faxed prescriptions without a signature. It only has to say digitally signed by John Smith. (they wouldn't accept electronic signature under the line). I still have some C drugs that I have to print, sign and fax or call in, but they would even take Vicodin and Paregoric and Ambien, etc. if I had the signature in place.

So did you get your signature to print? Actually can be tricky to make it work and it only works on some scrip formats and letters - I use standard 8.5 x 11 and it works great for me.

Usually if you saw it on the administrator page where you import it then it will work. Just preview a scrip to anyone and look at the bottom if the signature works it will be there. Some of the formats that are state specific, etc did not work the last time I talked with AC.
It is really amazing how just having something wired improves performance - I don't use any really new state of the art computers, but everything is wired and other than patients with huge imported files (when I go to imported to look) everything is fast. I even still have an old Pentium something with 256 mb ram and a 20 gig hard drive as well as windows 2000 and it runs fine with AC (I really keep it just so I can point out to people that some softare does not require brand new computers with all the bells and whistles to work).
