I am planning to start scanning labs, reports etc. to amazing charts. Any suggestions on good relatively inexpensive scanners that work well with AC?

You can probably find our old thread on this by doing a search on "scanners." There were quite a few suggestions there as I recall.
I went with the fujisu 5110 w/ twain interface, but it aint exactly inexpensive. Comes w/ Adobe Acrobat, which is probably why it isnt inexpensive.

I have heard good things about Fujitsu scanners. The Fujitsu Scansnap is supposed to be good. I used to not be a fan of the all-in-ones, but it seems they are hard to find any other way. Not sure if the Fujitsus comes with printers/fax/copy, etc. If not, do you have those things. We lease a Muratec, because they are far too expensive to purchase. I have always liked Brother for fax/scan so I looked up a few. Not sure what your budget is. All of these have all four components and are networkable and fax to and from the desktop. I, myself, wouldn't buy any fax/scanner etc. that wasn't capable of faxing to and from the desktop and networkable. Hi, we use the fujitsu 5120c. Cost about $800. Works like a charm.

I love my Fujitsu ScanSnap! Fast, Duplex, comes wth Adobe Acrobat, a Busines card manager- which I use for insurance cards. What I realy like about it, is its SMALL- like a toaster. A small toaster. The only rub is.... NOT twain compiant so not able to use the "Control Your Scanner" feature in ACs import data tab. However, not a real problem as you just save whatever to a file and then import from there. Every office should have one.
