I have been perusing the wish list and came up with a combined list of wishes. Some are my own, not on the list. They are in a total random order. As was said before, this may be more just to appease the masses than actually leading to product design but anyway...
It might be nice to vote on the top ones, but I do not know how to set it up, there might more essential ideas not on this list but...
1)import and export email to and from AC, perhaps from outlook 2)Fix search 3)Auto refresh emails 4)customizable, or personal ICD9 5)increase the common codes 6)tracking lab/imaging/consults better 7)in house lab test log 8 improved med and icd9 list 9) ability to change the section titles 10) abiliy to generate "global" template 11) Rich text (gives bold or italics and such) 12) ability to use other default letter writer such as word or open office. 13) granular templates 14) multiple charts open at once 15) ability to add old vitals (heihgt and weights for kids) for growth curves 16) export/import rolodex 17) father and Mother not just one parent on demographics 18) better spell check 19)Ability to correct (add, delete, explain) allergies without having to make a new encounter. Also, fix the allergy box so it shows all of the allergies 20) Ability to correct (add, delete, explain) allergies without having to make a new encounter. Also, fix the allergy box so it shows all of the allergies 21) somehow 21 to 23 were the same, oops) not sure what was originally there 24) Ability to print an entry from the rolodex. We often like to just look up the doctor and print their contact info, including phone numbers 25) ability to have consultant telephone number on the letter writer header. 26)Ability to print an entry from the rolodex. We often like to just look up the doctor and print their contact info, including phone numbers 27) ability to lock the screen from the main screen not just uncompleted note. 28) better insurance list 29) better immunization system 30) easier search by DOB and SSN 31) repeat vital signs 32) ability to add practice logo 33) ability to view chart while writing a letter. 34)Able to have a visual or audio message alert with regards to communications in the AC messaging system. 35) Ability to send .wav or other files in the messaging system.

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

OK, I found a few that were not in that list, not sure if they were the 21-24 list, yes I realize 19 and 20 were the same. 1)backup completion notification
2)edit our Rx writting options more such as "with food" or " for beakthru pain" etc
3)choose your own catagories for the imported items
4)AC would automatically stamp the time and date of the patieint's appointment on the chart note or maybe time put in room, ect.

5.) OOPS 6.) Ability to combine, condense, rearrange imported items into more functional groups. 7.) Ability to search consultants by specialty in the Rolodex 8.) Common email boxes where all employees can find messages on patients. 9.) More comment columns on the schedule for things like "Confirmed appt", "Needs to pay on account" that show up on printed schedule.

With respect to item #1 on the wish list....we import/export emails from Yahoo to AC. We copy the body of the email and attatch to the patient's chart as a message, forward to the Dr.'s inbox. The answer is copied and pasted into the email using the right click drop down email option from the patient's name . Send the email and save copy to the chart.
I agree with ALL of the suggestions regarding the letter writer and the rolodex. It is very important to my practice to facilitate comunication with the primary doc. It would be great to print a name and contact information directly from the rolodex. Yes, I need to refer back to the note or previous vidits when writing a letter.
Organizing the imported items into subfolders would be extremely valuable, more so as time goes by and the volume in that section increases.

Add proportional spacing so that printed notes have text that lines up when placed in bullet form.
