I'm watching the feed from Apple's World Wide Developer Conference. This App was just introduced. What do you all think?

Nice idea, but this already exists on other PDA's. The problem is getting hospitals to buy the software to use this it is mostly very expensive!

Q2.

What are hospitals required to have installed in order to use AirStrip Technologies software applications?

Answer:

Depending on the product, the hospital must have an HIS/CIS system that interfaces to AirStrip Technologies. The hospital must purchase the AirStrip interface, AirStrip server and individual AirStrip subscriptions for their physicians in order to operate the system using existing hospital IT infrastructure. Currently, the AirStrip OB application is the only FDA cleared AirStrip product marketed in the US.

I think it will be a nice thing for bigger hospitals, that can afford something like this. It would be nice if they were able to interface with many HIS products, but then they would lose out on selling their interface and server. It seems to me like something that has potential but will not be widely used because of cost factors.
