Hi, I am using MediSoft 15 Advanced standalone program. I was able to export patient demographics data into .xls file from AC. I am trying to do a ONE TIME import of this patient demographics data into MediSoft program. Does any one have a solution other than using XLINK?
Thank you.

I am not sure if Medisoft has an Import/Export utility builtin? If it is, follow the process that they describe.
Based on Lytec Software's process(I hope MS also has the same kind)....you have to export out a Patient records which will give you the data format they accept.
You just have to copy each column's data from AC Demographics file to MS Patient (demographics) file matching each column.
FYI.....Column headers will be definitely different from each programs..you just have to make sure which one's data makes sense to the other's.
If there is no import utility....then I feel for you the pain you can go through re-entering provided how many records you have to migrate. GOODLUCK!

Thank you for your reply HOB. MS doesn't have any Import utility that I know off. MS doesn't have a discussion forum like this one so that atleast users could help each other. They have a knowledge base information which doesn't answer this question. They don't provide a basic customer service atleast to give an hint saying that there is an import/export utility. They straight away ask for money for any customer support. At this point we are entering patient demographics manually. It is painfull.

I just implemented Lytec today and I was able to import Patient demographics with Import function in it. The import function is available in Client/Server version (or maybe in Professional version also) of Lytec. I am not sure about different versions of Medisoft. You can check with the re-seller you bought it from or they should be able to help you out. I hope you don't have too many to import? If there are a lot of those, then I would only enter teh basic data that you may need to create a patient record in MS (to speed up migrating all patients for scheduling purposes), and then complete all data entry (ready for claim processing) as they come see you.
