I am having problems accessing imported files (pdf). With some stored files I get the "edit item box" when i double click to veiw the study in AC (import item tab/box) . It is not all the imported items. When I look at the importitems file most of the PDF files have a number designation, but the ones that dont work have the patients name and are not consistant with the headings of the numbered files (00000021, 00000022, ect).
Another thing i notice is that when I try to open in a default application (when veiwing imported items in AC) I get a message "there is an error accessing this file, access denied". Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks RCA

The imported files system is buggy. The only time I notice AC go unresponsive, or outright crash, will be when accessing the imported files tab or using the review function for the imported files. I suspect there is a conflict with AC and the "helper application", i.e., Adobe Reader.

We are using version 8.1 my IT guy found that the later versions caused problems with reading some of the files.

I am using Acrobat Reader 9, and I get a crash either reading or signing off imported files once or twice daily. I'll try version 8.
