I run SBS 2003 in a network environment. I have a great deal of trouble with Quick Books Point of Sale since AC updated at the SQL level but now with this update I'm in hot water (no help until Monday) with the following error message: The database file Codes.mdf was not found. I am really hoping someone can help so I can have this up and running before Monday. I don't want to face the group with a broken EMR. I fear much retribution. Oh, and yes, I searched the forum as well as amazingcharts.com and I seem to be the only one with this problem.

Have you tried to repair AC by running Amazing Utilities?

Have you also tried searching for the codes.mdf file on your server?

I did try repair. I also tried searching for the the codes.mdf file. I plan to call support in the morning. Thanks for the input. I wish there was better help available so practices don't run the risk of their system being down like this.

Christy,
Try these troubleshooting steps.
Generally, trying to repair the connection works. Try doing all three. There are also some advanced tools at the top of the utilities, although I think it would work only with a corrupted database.
If you actually look in your Amazing Charts folder on the main computer, can you see Codes.mdf and Codes.ldf?
If you can't see Codes.mdf, you probably aren't going to find it on that computer. But, you have a couple of options. You can either redownload to a different place and grab the Codes.mdf OR you have should have quite a few Codes files on all of the clients. Just copy and paste one in. That should work if you are only missing the one file.
Can't be too sure as I haven't played with V4 all that long. And, I have no idea why it would just disappear.
