I had 3 different times when Amazing Charts locked up today for my providers. The first time was when someone tried to print a letter. I tried alt+tab and ctrl+alt+del and selecting the process and trying to Switch To or Bring to Front. Nothing worked. I tried opening another instance of AC and the window was usable again. I printed the letter and was done there. Later on a different computer, a provider had entered all the information in the encounter window and was entering the medications when the program locked up. I tried all the tricks from earlier and finally ended the task explorer.exe and restarted it. This caused the note and AC to close. When I restarted AC it resurrected the note. A few minutes later the same error in the same place again. This time though, the note was lost. I think the problem may have been with my server so I did a restart and restarted the client computers. I just thought that I would mention it in case anyone else was having an issue like this.

I never had an issue. You might try compacting and doing maint on your database before everone logs on, to clean up any discrepencies. That usually works for possible database problem things like you mention. Hopefully that is all it is. Good luck

What version of Amazing Charts are you using? If it isn't V4, I would update as this version is much faster and rarely ever crashes.

Also, did it happen after restarting the server?

I am going to restart the server tonight when noone is at the office. We are using V4 but it is still the Beta version (v4.0.45) because I have not had the chance to upgrade to 4.0.60. I will be doing that this weekend I hope.

Oh, yes you definately want to update the beta to the latest version - see www.amazingcharts.com/beta. Below are all the changes that have been made to the program, and one or more of these may explain the unusual behavior you noted.

I am curious we have 4.0.60 Jonathon is there a newer update? We had missing notes and had tech support not be able to find them or give us a reason why they went missing or what to do to prevent this from happening again. We are not sure if they went missing prior to or after the update to V4. Is this possibly the reason: V4.0.62b
