i succesfully installed version 4 on my server running Windows xp sp2. I am able to run AC on my laptop as part of the metwork, but I can't run AC on my laptop (which is running Vista) after syncing and taking it of the network to work at a nursing home. I will almost exclusively using the laptop off site. i try to rest the path to the file on the laptop but I get an error. I need to get this running by next week. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling and doing a restore so I could just run the laptop as the main the computr but no luck.

what specific error message do you get? did it work on the laptop before you took it to nursing home?
also, if you're adding new different pts to both laptop and main computer, i'm not sure the sync program will be able to handle it well...

I used the sync with the new 4.060 version this last week and on the surface it went well but staff realized that all the appointments that were made that entire day were gone I synced that laptop back into the main database so beware. They tired to remember a full day of appointments that were made and none of the ones they remember were saved when I synced back into the main database. It saved all my nursing home but not the main database. My sync went flawless but the data disappeared so be careful.

I got a lost database connection error. I will be entering most info on my laptop and then syncing back to the server. it will be rare to enter patients on the server. I will be doing 99% nursing home care.
