for those of you using OA (which i'm using too), how integrated do you have it with AC? do you have AC automatically generate a office ally file and then upload that file to office ally? or are you manually entering in demographic, insurance, etc info for all pts seen into office ally separately (using their "practice mate" module).

i looked into automation last on AC ver 3's, but found that some of the boxes on the CMS form weren't filled out right, and have just manually entered in info into practice mate, which isn't efficient, cuz i have now 2 demographic databases (one on AC, one on OA).

FYI, I contacted Office Ally personally and they stated that they will be adding HL7 compatibility around May of this year. Hopefully this will allow better communication between AC and OA.

HL7 will hopefully preempt missing fields. i should try again w/ ver 4 (and maybe some OA updates since last year), but it was kind of a hassle backtracking and troubleshooting missing boxes, and worse, missing payments.
