I have been away, and have missed a big block of the posts. I reviewed them but may have missed a thread (if there is one) on the future of Version 4.0 What have you heard? Are there any Beta tests already running?

(I was getting ready for and riding with a two week motorcycle gathering that brought 60 people together for dinner in Lake Tahoe. All were riding the Triumph Rocket 3 or at least have one back home. 5 from England, 2 from Oz, 2 from Canada, 2 from Alaska and the rest from various spots in the Continental US. Good Time. Some very fast folks! )

Martin,

I noted your absence and surmised you were off somewhere on a motorcycle or with a shovel and ropes. Sounds like a fantastic event. Did your son go with you?
Welcome back,

Hello you jackass Doctor you!
Good to hear from you. It was a really interesting event. Friday night I was sitting at dinner and a lady who is the human resources manager for a 1,000 bed hospital in London turned to me and asked, "why is everyone here taking Lipitor or Zocor?" I offered some lame observations about our national diet, and asked what her cholesterol was, and she had no idea. She asked how would she know, and it came out that she doesn't even get regular blood tests from the Doctor she sees in the UK. Since then I have corresponded with others on the motorcycle forum and they do get treatment, but I suspect she has few risk factors, so she is skipped over. We have a lot of issues in our health care, but the others do as well.
Sadly the organizers of our little get together in Lake Tahoe failed to notice that the MotoGP was running in Monterey THE SAME WEEKEND. Sigh.. Brandon was really looking forward to seeing the group in Lake Tahoe.... until he found out about the dates. He had a great time at Tahoe, at one of the most exciting races in this decade. I was in Tahoe at the time...sigh.
On a happier note my oldest son, Eric has finished his Bachelors degree, (Business Admin from the Marshall School of Business at USC) and needs only a few more classes and the MCAT before he can apply to med school. He took the first semester of Organic in summer school while I was off having a nice ride. He got an A. He has really become a good student, it is remarkable to watch the transformation. I was afraid he would be held back a year when he was in 7'th grade.
So what about version 4? Is it testing yet?

To my knowledge it is not testing yet - lots of rumors about it coming out thie month, but nothing solid. I assume it is close as Jon has posted a new EULA here and asked for opinions. There is no new beta version. Will just have to wait and see.

Thanks for that wonderful compliment, Martin. I take it in its full context. Glad to hear you had such a nice time and that your son has made that turn-around.
