I'm relatively new to AC and very new to the UB. I apologize if thhis has been discussed in the past.

My practice has grown enough that I would now like to network AC on the desktop and my laptop so that two of us can access AC simultaneously. I have already set up a wireless network for other office tasks. Any observations or words of advice in general? And specifically, any preference or experience using AC with peer-to-peer versus client-server networking?

Thanks.

Bruce.

Bruce,
Welcome aboard. Yes we have beaten this horse to death more than once. I suggest you do a few searches and see what you can find, and then get back to us if you still have any questions... We're using a decent wireless set up and now it is rock steady even with a few other near by networks. Be a bit anal about your wireless security and you should be fine... Good luck,
Paul

As everyone knows, I always prefer client/server for everything on a network, but it will perform just as well on a P2P. I would just set it up and start.

I am using 7 computers on a peer to peer wired nextwork and have never had any problems that a reboot wouldn't fix. I reboot maybe once every 2 months. That being said, I agree Client/Server is technically superior, but I find the P2P very easy to maintain.
