Bert,
If you really want a laptop I have been haunting the Dell refurb site and have scored some really great equipment the last week or so. Matter of fact I'm writing to you as we speak on my new D830 laptop. Nice wide screen, titanium case, duel core chip with 4 gigs of Ram, yes 4 gigs! And I got the XP Vista cross, down grade too. So I have XP Pro installed and it's back up media, as well as I am the legal owner of a copy of Vista Business so if and when Vista decides to grow-up and play nicely with it friends no less it's older brother XP, I can install Vista. And if not I'm the legal owner of both. Oh and for a lousy 59 bucks or something like that I extended the NDB support including accidental damage.

So for barely $1200 bucks I got a machine that screams! And then you should see the two towers I bought... Can you say Xeon quad core, because I sure can... Wow you should see this monster. Also 4 gigs of RAM and four little cores rockin' away in task manager, what a beautiful thing and yes the same extended coverage and OS licensing too! I even went a bought a second tower to do work from and at home on. All I need is to bump the graphics card and I'll be editing Nancy's TV spots without a snag.

They are as they are, no realy bumping or customizing them as they are returns or scratch and dents, but who cares. For half the price of their regular retail price I scored these kick@$$ babies that'll last us for years... It'll take a lot of software programing to out grow these machines... My new towers are probably faster than even Bert's 5.7 Hemi!!!

So now that I'm confident the this networking issue is done with, next deal is to swap the AC database onto this new tower and reset the path on all the other machines around the office. I dare the girls to bitch at me now about the speed of the network. Can you see me smiling over the fiber and coax???
