Funny thing is, every state seems to think it is the epicenter of the opiate epidemic.
Has to do with prosecuting the "war on drugs" -- which is clearly losing steam and support in the public, so they have to gin up another "crisis".
I don't think Maine is one of the "legal marijuana" states. Oregon, Washington, and soon probably California have a pretty long experience with that substance, and I can't see much of a problem there, despite what the drug warriors say.
The "overdose epidemic" is conflating legitimate prescriptions with drug mill, diversion, and even suicide.
I am positive the whole thing is bogus.
