hello ,
I would really like some help from the tech gurus especially Sandeep ( as you are microsoft certified ) for this problem .
I recently updated from win 7 home to win 8 pro
after the install, it tried to do updates and found 175 of them
it downloads most of them with the exception of an Intel driver R7 series data storage controller , installs them but cannot configure the updates- it stops at 99% configuration and then error - " failure to configure updates reverting back " which takes many hours - and always stops configuring them at 99%
I have done the following -
1. Ran automatic repair option with no success
2. Turned off all MS services and disabled all other services prior to downloading
3. Ran windows fix it tool which says it has fixed problems , and windows update agent -No success
4. Ran anti virus and malware bytes no viruses found
5. Unchecked the Intel R 7 series data storage controlled SATA AHCI driver update that would refuse to install and tried to re install the updates with same error
6. Tried to use DISM .exe Scanhealth and restore health commands as recommended by others with no success
7. Re installed win 8 twice with no errors during installation
8. made sure I activated windows 8
9. made sure that back ground intelligence win update and work station were set to automatic
these are all the fixes which worked for others on the internet
I am at my wits end with this
Apart from upgrading to win 8.1 I see no other option
can anyone please help
