I think the issue is this: The FDA pulled the 2 A-B rated generics because the delivery system was NOT the Oros like Concerta and they figured out they were inadequate. The only other generic (a pharmacist told me) is not A-B rated and therefore by law they cannot simply substitute a generic. So if you had someone on Concerta generic you now have to say methylphenidate ER 27mg.
