Inlight is a completely different EMR that the company is working on.
It does not have the billing section completed, thus it is only practical for direct primary care folks that do not need to do billing. My understanding is that these are things that will be added in the future.
It is a Problem Oriented Medical Record and is very interesting.
It is NOT Amazing Charts. The development of each has benefited the other.
I have been told repeatedly that it is not THE future product but another EMR giving alternatives. They are not abandoning AC, but rather branching in a different direction to attract other customers. What I have seen is consistent with this approach.
It could be argued that it is siphoning off resources from AC but they could have just not applied resources in that direction. They seem to be aggressively advancing AC, while also branching off to Inlight.
