As a 9 year veteran of amazing charts, all I can say is that the current system is FUBAR (MILITARY TERM). We upgraded to 7.12 2 weeks ago, and what a nightmare it has been ever since. I should have stayed with 6.33 and said the heck with meaningful use. Install was difficult and not reversible. Currently myself and my staff are typing in data from old patient charts that either did not or will not move to the new system. The new system does not like changes and I have a population of patients who are in insurance plans that will change because their companies have changed plans. OMG won't that be fun.
The new AC corporate mentality treats customers like step-children who they deal with as those who downloaded a dysfunctional computer game v.s. busy healthcare professionals. But, we professionals are the dumb ones who clicked the upgrade button.
