Ed,

There are three ways around this. Our hospital will not take Electronically Signed By either. It must say Digitally Signed By.

#1 We made a new user called First name (Digitally signed by) Last Name (Albert Adams, M.D.)

User Name Zsignature Password Whatever.

Now on the right we always choose ZSignature which gives us Digitally Signed By for labs AND

faxes so we don't forget.

#2 Use a transparent signature. You can do it by learning here or have a professional do it online. He's good. Make sure you don't go out of your way to make it look good, you want it tall so it automatically traces over where it says signature or whatever.

#3 I did this and got away with it. Lab was cool, I could have finger painted it on. But x-ray was hard [censored]. I sat down with them and asked them what I needed to be HIPAA compliant. They gave me a list, I went back and circled everything and sent it in. They bought it even though I had like six out of 15, lol.

My guess is Digitally signed by will work.
