It sounds like the best idea would be to:

  • For the first six months, use the co-sign feature.
  • After that, select a number of completed charts for review.
    • You can either e-mail the charts to him, or...
    • He can go through the old schedule, right-click on a patient's name (pre-selected or at random) and create a full-fledged Addendum.
I believe an Addendum to an encounter could be created under another the M.D.'s name, but would still be considered part of the encounter, and should be easy to print off along with the original note. You would just have to have the M.D. create the Addendum on the same day, or set the date manually to the date of the encounter each time.

Until you try this out, it may seem confusing. Let me know if my thoughts are not coming through loud and clear.
