I?m sorry my tips weren?t much help to your need from an application stand point. Unfortunately, this is more of a design and programmatic issue with Imported Items. As much as I want to help, I?ve traveled this road before? Maybe one day AC will upgrade their current browser viewer to a true document viewer (Pssst? AC, here?s a hint for the future - WPF), or a universal document container, which would allow editable documents and spreadsheets.
