You raise some interesting questions, and I think that it is healthy to look at the practice from a business model perspective, and run the numbers.

To be clear - disclaimer - we we do offer services in this marketplace.

That said, we formed the business unit that services practices this year out of our enterprise services group because we saw the need for low-friction services specialized for medical practices.

Running AC for practices that are multi-location is challenging, and requires both infrastructure and skilled maintenance. We offer a managed environment instead of Hosted because we work hard to put (and keep) "the magic in the box".

The other significant issue is the reporting and value that you are getting out of your biller. We have identified a few outfits that we work with that are more Revenue Cycle Management focused, provide the reporting and resources, and work well with AC.

So, there are resources available to you that offer you alternatives short of leaving AC behind.
