Monthly, thank you very much... Remember me in July and Nancy in August. It is a known fact that if one looks at certain pro sports that have their amature ranks, work with calender year cut offs, then a majority of those who make it to the pros have early new year birthdays.

This makes sense it two ways. One because those guys really are months older than their peers that they are skating against and by law of averages more of them are simply bigger, stronger, and better coordinated then theses that are younger. But two; because they are naturally so (bigger, stronger, better coordinated) they tend to get more playing time simply because they are. So when crunch time comes and the coach really needs an extra run, or to kill off a penalty or what have you, obviously he is going to pick on his best to try and get it done. So these birthdates can become self-fulling proficies that are very hard for those with the later year birthdays to over come. In my sport of choice, two of the best from the modern era are both January Birthdays. Wayne Gretzki and Mark Messier. I just couldn't resist.

Anyway, happy Birthday to all this month!!! Even if I did have to skate and bust my way past some of you. Heck I think being small in hockey can be an advantage sometimes.
