For what it is worth...a quick look at IMO suggests to me that you are absolutely right: this could add some value to AC. Even as a stand alone it has some value; with full integration into the program it would be far better.
You might try emailing Jon Bertman. There are a couple of users here who seem to have his ear. Perhaps they might notice your post and take up the effort to get some attention for IMO.
