The physician whom I share space with uses All Scripts. I don't know much about All Scripts, but it has one feature which I think is terrific. All Scripts is using a program developed by IMO (Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc.)which allows you to use your naturally using language when inputting a diagnosis in the assessment section. You input the diagnosis & it automatically gives corresponding ICD-9 (& ICD_10) code numbers. It is done seamlessly. I have a web based version of the program which I find extremely helpful, but is not as good as if it were integrated into AC. It allows us to use real, natural language in our assessment, instead of the stilted ICD-9 language. I know that you can edit ICD-9 codes names inAC, but then you have to remember exactly how you wrote it.
The point here is that one of the IMO developers has tried to show his product to AC developers, but has gotten nowhere. I'm wondering if there is a way that he can show his wares to AC people who might be interested if they actually saw the product. Is there someone whom either I or he can talk to to get the ball rolling.
