I put lab data in my notes fairly often, also when sending messages to my nurse to call patients - I use an inexpensive screen capture OCR program called ABBYY Screenshot Reader. It will translate an area of the screen into text that you place in your note with Ctrl-V. It will also do tables to text. As long as the resolution of the area is good enough it is very accurate. You do need to have the lab displayed at an easily readable size for it to capture well.
