When I started with AC, I was told you have to activate the refill request feature. So, I am assuming you can ask for it to be deactivated. The refill requests are actually directed by SureScripts to the appropriate prescribing software.
I have never activated the refill request feature through AC/NewCrop. My refill requests still come through Allscripts which I was using before. It is easier than AC. I can just deny there in 2 clicks, and write what is needed in AC.
I originally spoke to someone at SureScripts, and I was told that you can prescribe through multiple software programs, but refill requests can only be directed to one software. I keep Allscripts active for those times when NewCrop goes down. Also, since Allscripts is web based, it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection which is useful at times.
