Lost Connections to Database frequently happends if your "main" computer is busy running another tasks. Fo example, it happens every time when I happen to pull a chart while my main computer is backing up Amazing chart database to another computer.
You should NEVER back up an open database! You're SUPPOSED to get the message that the connection is lost in this instance - as the file is locked so it can be backed up in once piece without changes. If the file is ALTERED while it is being backed up, the backup file will be broken!
Backing up is GOOD.. but knowing that your backup IS GOOD is just as important.
