Just get a Dell Vostro or Optiplex and put it under a table. I don't use Laptops, but to each his own. It would be nearly impossible to spec out a Dell and get a poor computer. I use all Lenovos from IBM.
If you want speed, then get one with an SSD. All of mine are SSD.
If you could, please make a signature with your name at the bottom. It is hard to address someone as EMR.
