Welcome to ACUB. I find that for my practice style a laptop is the ideal solution. I can sit and talk with the patient and enter notes unobtrusively. I can maintain eye contact better that I could with a wall mounted screen. I think this is important for the doctor-patient relationship.
If you like the system your dentist uses, you might ask him directly--and then share it with the rest of us.
