First, give us a name. It is hard talking to pvsjr5. Thanks.

I need to hear this again, because I MUST have this wrong.

What I am reading is that the AC backup program is not working. I am reading that you have not backed up your data since July 11.

If you are doing other backups of your server which includes your AC data, then I will do everything in my power to help including remoting in and trying to figure out the problem.

If on the other hand you are telling me that you have a problem with AC's backup and have not done a backup of your entire server or at least a backup of your data by itself with a different much better, much more reliable backup program, then I am horrified.

Am I to understand that none of your patient data that resides in the AmazingCharts.mdf database is backed up since July 11. And, your practice is blaming this on the Amazing Chart's backup.

You should think of AC's backup like a bicycle compared to a Ferrari. I don't even use it unless I need to upgrade. It is a nice tool to give a simple, compact backup of your data. But, I would NEVER consider it a good backup of my data.

I am guessing since you upgraded to a new server (what kind of server, what model server, what OS, what type of network), that you have a backup strategy in place to back up all of the data on the server. If it is a commercial server such as a Dell Server, it must have a server OS. If it has a server OS, then it is likely SBS or regular 2008. If it is 2008 server, then it has its own imaging backup.

I will await your reply. I am very worried. If you lost all of your data back to July 11, your office would be hard to recover.

Simply go out and download Backup Assist for a 30 day free trial and back up the server.
