I am 2 weeks into my 1 month free trial of Sure-Scripts, which is the ePrescribing "add-on" to AC. I have to say that it isn't all I had hoped for:
1. Although the demographic information is uploaded from AC to Sure-Scripts, none of the patient's medicine lists or allergies are. As a result, substantial typing is necessary.
2. It takes about 4 mouse clicks per screen to move to the transmission page, and the buttons are haphazardly placed.
3. No confirmation of contact with the pharmacy that the prescription goes to is received. In my experience, almost 1 of 4 need to be re-transmitted.
4. After 2 weeks, the pharmacies are still faxing ALL the refills. No a single request for refill received electronically.
I think AC needs a different partner for ePrescribing.
