In version 6 when I use the script writer to write a prescription it doesn't immediately update the current medication box. In previous versions when you double clicked the current medication box it would update. In this version it doesn't.

I spoke with tech support and they say "it is by design that medications added/edited in Write Scripts don?t updated Current meds until the next visit. The reason for this is that the Current Med list represents what the patient is taking before/at the time of the visit and that has been the flow we have tried to maintain."

My concern is just that it could create a medical legal problem if your "current" medication list lists one list of medications and your plan list another. I thought that the current medication list would have the current medications the patient is on after finishing the office visit. I feel you can always look at your previous note to see what the medications were that the patient is/was taking before/at the time of the visit.

Wondering how other users feel?

Thanks
