My understanding is that you are not allowed to post date scrips, particularly Schedule II - I write a second scrip and date it on the same day - in the note to pharmacist I write TO BE FILLED ON OR AFTER XX/XX/XX. It then shows up in the medication history as 2 on the same day - this meets letter of the law although my state says I have to keep a scanned copy of the scrip so I print, sign and then scan back into imported items.
Steven, I'm also in Washington, and have never heard of a requirement to keep a scanned copy. Can you point me to information about such a regulation?
