After several months on AC, several patients are getting a fair number of imported labs and x-rays. We have not scanned in old charts and try hard to maintain import discipline, but still the growth is unavoidable.
We are now finding that it is getting slow to open the imported items when the tab is clicked on these larger charts. Sometimes it is taking 20 seconds or more staring at a blank page until the list of labs and imports shows.
The imported items folder is in the customary place on the server. I am concerned that at this rate in not too long it will be unusable. I know that many have suggested when scanning in old charts that they go into a separate shared folder, but it seems that AC ought to be able to handle a few dozen lab and x-ray reports without choking.
Are others finding this to be true? Any suggestions?
