Try not to panic. But, this is the thing about Imported Items I get nervous about, because you can back up the folder with all the data and you can back up the ImportItems.mdb. But, there are separate, and I worry about the link between the two.
You may already have this solved, but give us more information, i.e. when was the last time it worked, did you do anything different prior like installing a new update of AC or any new software? Are you running XP Pro or Home. Are you on a peer-to-peer or a domain? Is your main AC folder on a workstation and shared to the others or is it on a server?
This may sound too simple, but if you are running XP, have you considered trying System Restore? If not, and you are using it, copy the entire folder to another PC or CD or something and then try restoring the computer back to a point where it linked. Then, you can add back the other five databases.
