As of June 1, the feds say we can write and transmit Schedule II prescriptions electronically (
http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/ecomm/e_rx/faq/practitioners.htm )
The conditions that would allow individual practitioners to do this include obtaining written documentation from the electronic prescription program provider that the program meets the government criteria for security, etc, as well as meeting stringent log-in and signing rules. Do we as AC users have this ability or is it in process?
As a pediatrician w/ lots of ADHD kids and mounds of monthly stimulant prescriptions to write, this would be a real time saver.
