My backup file is now 509 MB. I back it up nightly and it saves in the AC backup folder on the hard drive. It also saves automatically to an external backup drive that came free with the computer. Further, it goes to a little USB key that I got for $40. It hold 8GB, so this technique should be good for a long time. I take the USB key home in case the business and all the hard drives are stolen or burn to the ground. This seems more than adequate for security. What do the docs with paper charts do in case of fire or theft?
As far as online, offsite backup: why pay 250 dollars per year when Carbonite is only 50 dollars? I backed up 110 Gig on my home computer. Yeah, it took several days to copy it all, but then it just uploads what has changed on a continuous basis. It is all encrypted.
