I believe that at least in theory if a virtual private network were in use, it would allow one to use Dragon and AC and all the high bandwidth stuff on the portable laptop, then just send the data itself to the database file at the work server. That is my understanding of the theory, at least. The implementation of this is unknown to me. It might well be using a howitzer to kill a fly. The steno book and LogMeIn seems simpler.
