In our office we have 4 colors of flags and a Magnetic #1. The #1 is for me since I'm the boss and the 4 colors are for the other 4 NPs. The nursing staff sends us a chart and then beeps us on the intercom that we have a patient ready. We go to the room with our flag or magnet out. Quick, easy and cheap. I can also see putting that information in the subject line of AC email.
We have ONE prescription printer in the hallway by the exam rooms. We keep special safety paper in that printer. We also ALL use tablet pcs, so we print to Windows Journal or Microsoft Document Imaging, sign on our computers and print to the hallway printer.
