Our office AC experience is as positive as that described in the AAFP survey.
I too would like to see other companies tie into AC tables directly for the practice mgmt functionality. PM module competition would be great. Heck I'd even try to program something if there was a software developers kit (SDK) for AC that exposed the SQL tables in a supported fashion. Until AC offers that tie in, it would be too great a risk for other companies to develop complementary PM software.
