There are definite problems with the superbill. I no longer use it for "billing" other than as a reference. I'm billing now through OfficeAlly. When I was eporting to a billing company...nothing we right (although a lot of the problem was the billing company).
However...you can indeed change pointers, I do it all the time. If I remember correctly, all you need to do is click into the pointer box and a drop down will appear. You can then choose one of the ICD9 codes that you have entered into the chart, OR you can choose a different one from the menu that appears on the right.
